Just ordered my 17" Powerbook.

I've finally jumped ship to the Mac family.

These are the final days of Windows.

Est. ship time of the PB is 3 - 5 days.. Does anyone know if that means it will ship AFTER 3 - 5 days, or it will BE HERE within that time period?

Good to see that you got the faster hard drive and more video ram. They are cheap improvements that really boost the performance of that machine.

Yep... I wasn't going to pay that much cash and not shell out a tiny bit more for such a big boost.

Can anyone answer the shipping question? Does "Est. Ship" mean it will ship AFTER said amount of days? Or that it will get TO you within that time?

I've read threads on here saying that their PB's were shipped the same day they ordered them, but that seems doubtful.

Unfortunately, the estimated shipping time is when the computer will be put in a box in Taiwan. But hey, think of this way: someone might be working on your new beautiful machine right at this very moment!

Yes it does. I am tracking my new 15" at the moment - they said build would be two weeks but they shipped in 2 days!
