As well as being a Mac user, I still build my PC gaming rigs :) Have you tried PC Case Gear? My most recent PC build used stuff I bought from them because I've found their prices to be very competitive. They also sell the DDR3 SO-Dimms that will work with the 2012 iMac.

I bought mine from gamedude.com.au $55.00 per 8gig GSkill brand, I got 32 gig and it works fine. They have Kingston "Apple Specific memory" for $66.00 per 8gig or $39.00 for 4gig
They are Brisbane based.

Thanks I will give those places a go what Ram is compatible with the I mac? Totally newbe when it comes to apple :(

I use OWC in the US. Cheap and fast shipping with lifetime warranty and good pricing. I used a lot of their RAM in my old Mac Pro 2008 and it still hasn't failed. Got OWC ram in my 8 day old iMac 2012 and it is running solid.

I just did the same (27" i7, 3TB Fusion and 680MX) but have ordered my memory from Crucial in the US. You can get Crucial kits for US$86 each + $25 delivery (to Oz) direct from Crucial.

I just ordered 2 x 16GB kits but have a neighbour who has a US address so he is bringing them home (saves the $25 shipping). US$172 is a lot less than $600 from Apple.

I'm in the same position, in Aust and looking for RAM upgrade.
The OWC has good reputation but now these RAM are CL11. I am not sure if I want to buy from OWC and I am still keeping a look out for others.

cheers

I see that 3-4 timeframe now.. jealousy! As I ordered my custom 27inch i7 on the day they were released but still no joy with actually receiving it. Apple and my reseller agreed that there has been an error, lent me a Macbook Pro which was kind - but still suggesting a mid Feb delivery at best. Not that happy, Jan!

I am still waiting for mine just got the email saying Your order is being processed not long now .... any one having any success with the ram upgrades on these ? still searching for a best fit
