Just picked up a mac pro 1,1, need some GFX help

So I picked up a 1,1

2.66 X5355 x2
16gb ram
250gb hdd

I'm going to be doing the efi32 mavericks install.
Can I use a non-efi card? or am I still restricted to efi32 cards?

this topic has been discussed allot on this forum and others so searching should land you tons of information, with that said, you can use non Apple video card but will lose the boot screen (apple logo) on startup, I have a $70 Nvidia 630GT in mine without issues, the model of video card you choose should be based on your needs. I use the machine for Audio editing so the graphics card I use does the job fine.
