Local seller had a mint IIci system for sale. His $200.00 asking price was too high so I decided to offer him $35.00 for it. He rejected it as he had another buyer who was offering him $125.00 for it. Since I don't have any real use for it I had to pass as that was still too high. A couple of days later he informed me the system was still available and I could have it for my $35.00 offer price. He and his wife were cleaning out the house and they just wanted to be rid of it. This morning I went to pick it up and I have to say this thing is in like new condition.
So what did I gt for my $35.00? Let me tell you:
I doubt you could find a nicer IIci system for the price. I was hesitant to even buy it for $35.00 as I have no use for it other than to play with it and have it "in my collection". But I figured why not, it's only $35.00 and I'm sure I can find someone who would want it if I decided not to keep it. I'll try to post pics later.
So what did I gt for my $35.00? Let me tell you:
- Macintosh IIci with the cache card. I do not know how much RAM is installed as I have yet to fire it up. However all eight slots are populated so I am guessing 8 MB. Unfortunately the seller removed the hard drive (for security reasons) so I need to purchase one. He did leave the sled and mounting screws so all I need is the hard drive.
- Apple Extended Keyboard II and associated ADB mouse.
- Apple CD300 external CD-ROM drive.
- Macintosh Color Display
- StyleWriter II printer.
- All the necessary cables to put it together.
- All the original software for the system and the peripherals.
- All the original manuals. What a difference from what we get today. The Macintosh Users Guide is one nice spiral bound manual.
