It's pretty nice so far. I don't mind the glossy screen, but my room is dark. Anything people want me to give opinions on? I'm going to xbench it in a minute...

I was looking at the price of 4 GB DDR3 on the apple site and its $150 upgrade which is the same for the DDR2 memory upgrade.
Iono i thought it was kinda weird becuase DDR3 memory is a lot more $$$$ then DDR2
what do you guys think?
RAM will come down in price. Just a matter of time. I think apple just charges a flat rate for RAM. They wouldn't be making a huge profit margin like the past, but over time, it'll grow.
Yeah. I'd like to see if the hard drive is under the battery like it is on the standard MB. Would make it much more user replaceable.
seconded. is it hot? How's the wifi performance/reception? Do the wrist rests get warm? How's the heat overall?
try plugging a firewire 400 device in it and see how it works.

The hard drive is very easy to replace. It's right next to the battery when you take over the cover. You can also unscrew the bottom very easily and add RAM. Also, It seems easy to take out the Superdrive, as I'd like to add an SSD in place of it. I don't use the superdrive much anyway.
Wifi is very subjective. It seems fine so far. Wrist rests haven't gotten warm yet, but I haven't really made this thing go. The heat is pretty minimal compared to 3 other Macbook Pro's I've owned. I'll keep you updated.
As for any photo requests, I can't do them now.
CoolAs a corollary, how's the noise in normal usage (installing things, etc.)?
Which processor did you get? A bunch of us in another thread have been trying to find someone with a 2.53 to run a CPU-z check to see if the MBP's 2.53Ghz CPU is a Intel P9400 or P9500.
The P9400 is a 35W CPU and the P9500 is a 25W CPU, both are 2.53Ghz penryn with 6Mb L2 cache, same size. So yea... we wanna know which one is in the MBP. If you have a 2.53Ghz one, please please help us figure it out. Thanks
