Just preordered the iPhone today... any chance it will come sooner than later?

I had to go through the trouble of changing my phone plan to have data today for Sprint, so I wasn't able to preorder today, and had to get it today. To my dismay, it seems like delivery estimate is Oct 24-31. Is it likely I'm going to be pleasantly surprised with a phone closer to the 14th? My current phone is broken, like it won't send texts or make calls, so I'm in kind of a jam.

Back when it was brand new, my iPhone came a week earlier then they promised.
