Just pulled the trigger

i just pulled the trigger on a 2014 rMBP 2.8 ghz with the dedicated graphics and 512 SSD. spent a total of $2650 and got my student discount with it. I also have the deferred interest on the apple rewards card. Im exited and it gets to my house tomorrow!!

any must have apps to install ?:apple:
 
Congrats, on your new purchase.

We have a number of threads in the Mac apps forum, take a look at one of those, to see what apps you may want to install.
 
Well it really depends on what you'll be doing.
I started with a few utilities that I find essential to my work flow (namely Caffeine and Flux) then put on MPlayerX.

I actively avoided loading on all my old apps immediately and rather installed as needed, as I didn't want to install a bunch of apps that I hadn't used in ages

Thats true, mostly to do video editing. and school work and Caffeine is a must.

Congrats. I just got my 2.5 15" with 512 about 2 weeks ago. It's awesome! You will love it.
 
Awesome - take care of it. I have the late 2013 and it still looks brand new :)
