I waited a whole year for this upgrade but just ended up purchasing last years 15 inch model. The new prices are outrageous. I don't see the older models going down a lot in price anytime soon, I think magsafe, older usb and keyboard are still important to a lot of people and I can't really just keep waiting for the older prices to drop.

If anyone else feels the older models will drop quite a bit in price then please state your reasons below. Also if someone could summarize the performance difference between last years 13 inch rmbp vs the base 13 inch without the touch bar for this year it would be helpful.

I just did the same thing a moment ago--a 2015 15" Macbook Pro. I'm guessing they're going to go fast, so anyone wanting last year's laptop had better get out to the refurb site and place their order.
