So I just purchased my first Apple Watch since the series two, which didn't last long because I smashed it within a couple of months of getting it.

I have been using a FitBit Charge 2 since then.

When I went for my walk today the Apple Watch said the distance I walked was not the same as what the Fitbit always reported. It also reported I burned less calories then what the Fitbit reported. Now I tend to believe the mileage with the Apple Watch more then the Fitbit since it has a built in GPS.

Also, is there any way to get the steps to display on the screen?

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

I believe the AW to be more accurate than the Fitbit.

My wife had one and compared to my AW, it was crap for exercise distance tracking. She now has an AW.

Steps on the screen, yes. You’ll have to download a third party app and set it as a complication. There are plenty out there - Duffy, Pedometer+ etc. I use StepsApp as it has the nicest iPhone and Watch UI

Congratulations on the new watch! If you can’t put the steps on the screen, you can put the activity on the screen and trap on the activity logo and scroll down to see your steps
