Just put in 8gb of RAM of crucial in my 17" i7 mbp, WOW~!

I thought I'd just post to make comments about the 8GB in the 17" i7 macbook pro. All I have to say is that its fast!! So this is what others whos had the 8gb installed all this time experienced! If your on the fence about it, DO IT!

I have been saying this for about a week now (time since I put my G-Skill in my 15" C2D)

Its a world of difference... now if only I could find a SSD

I'm running a 17" i7 mbp too. Just put in my g.skill sandforce SSD and this thing is flying.

Currently still running on 4gb of ram. Do you reckon I'll need another 4gb?

I work mostly only in photoshop so it's just that one major program that's running. Other than that, i use mostly safari and itunes in the background.

Don't know if i need the extra 4gb

I run CS5 design standard. Usually have at least 2 of those apps open as well at Lightroom 2 open. I am a design student and I burn through it pretty quickly on a daily basis.
