yeah, the imac will be used for email/web by my mom. It works just fine for her!

I'm thinking about updating the OS on it though, i'm not sure if tiger would run properly.

Pretty sure it will, each OSX rev has run a little faster than the last. I don't think there is anything in Tiger that isn't compatible with G3...
