This is an urgent question - there's a very good chance I will return this computer within the 14 day refund period if certain government paperwork doesn't come through.

I've opened the box, but I haven't opened the clamshell because it's bound shut with a EULA sticker which will rip. Does opening it void my ability to return the computer?

Please advise!

Thanks. What do I need to do (or not do) to stay on the right side of "refundable?"

AFAIK, don't cause any physical damage to the machine.

Anything you do to the OS or preinstalled software can be repaired via Internet Recovery before you return it.

Added to what aristobrat said, don't open the back cover (there's no reason to anyway). Don't spill stuff, scratch it, etc. Take care of it.

There shouldn't be a reason to return it unless it's defective, or you really prefer that other inferior OS.
