nice! what time did you get it and retail or up to date? mines currently either at the depot or on a truck right now.
I got retail version. TNT delivered it about 1:35pm. Nope not me on mactalk.com.au
Whilst its installing, I've been looking at the packaging. This really is aimed at those already using Leopard. Leopard came beautifully packaged with an 80 page book. SL came with a 10 page leaflet and the disc in a plastic sleeve.

yeah another two hours till 5pm. hopefully it will come.
I still have to wait another 8 1/2 hours before the store opens up and I get it but its ok once I get it I will have it forever.

Man, I'm gonna miss the iLeopard theme. At least the dev said he'll be supporting 10.6 soon as his tools get updated.
Agreed. I'll have to keep my eyes open for when it gets updated. I'm so sick of the aqua blue everywhere.
Like literally, since I themed my entire Mini I'm still pondering waiting for him or just going ahead and dealing with Aqua. For some reason on my MacBook, the updated Candybar still cant change the Mail icon.
Benchmarks not so good, I'll have to play around and see what its like real world. But have to go to uni now
my benchmarks suffered as well with sn. quartz and gl rendering decreased. went from 220 xbench to 180. But, the system feels overall faster, so i cant complain. Just wanted to let you know that your results currently are normal.

Well, mine has installed after what seemed like an eternity. Everything is just the way it was, except I'm missing my customisations (which I expected), all the aqua stuff is like high contrast blue (thanks to the higher gamma, not sure I'm liking it), and iStat is broken.
Spotlight is insanely responsive.
EDIT: at least bowtie and geektool still work, plus the 10 gigs of extra space will come handy too
WTF. no it didn't. Mine installed in about 35 mins.
Also my iStat still works.

That 5 GB of space you got back...is that with the change in the way SL reports sizes in base 10?
The first time machine backup for me post install is 7.5 GB. Basically the entire system.
