Just saw the new HP iPod commercial.

It Had breakdancers moving to country music.

I actually liked it better than the Apple silhouette ones, it showed close-ups on the interface instead of a huge Apple logo with some pretentious phrase below it.

I guess it's all about marketing though, I was more concerned about the features of the iPod when I bought it. I guess "young" people would prefer the ability to look good while dancing around like a idiot when people can't hear the same music you're hearing :D

is the hip-hop/rap one for hpod or straight ipod? i see the silhouette dancers and such but always end up looking away before the end. i must say as good as ipod commercials are the sony connect/20gb player thing has a better song. not a better commercial cause as a whole it blows, but i just dont like the kind of music on 'pod commercials.

just saw another one

It was some sort of dance club and they were listening to polka.

Ugh the Sony commercial has a horrible remake of a wonderful song how can you think it's a good song it drives me nuts I always change the channel.

The different ipod color schemes were merely stickers, from what I recall.

I think the demographic for the HP is more along the lines of Windows/average joe users.

Probably a lot of people avoid it because the APPLE = PROPRIETARY thinking.

I think you are right. This is such a good move for both apple and hp.
