Hi everyone,

Ive just sold my mac, I'm just wondering what I need to do in regards to remove all info that I have stored ext.

Ill give you a run down of what I have down so far, please let me know if I missed anything.

1. Backed Up Mac
2. Went into disk utility and deleted my bootcamp and mac HD
3. Reinstalled OS
4. Cmd Q to escape the setup process.

Am i missing anything or is this all I will need to do for a safe secure sale?

I did have one odd question, when I went into disk utility I noticed there was a HD partition that said Mac Base System. I never touched this or formatted this drive and I assume I am correct in doing so.

Could somebody please let me know what this partition is and if I need to do anything with it.

Cheers

Like CoastalOR mentioned, you followed the correct process, so you are in good shape there.

That base system is the mounted installer image when you are booted to recovery and is normal.
