I have this 27 inch iMac, with a Broken Motherboard.
I want to use its screen as an External Display (Screen).
Is there any Possible way to do this? Like Connecting it to another normal Moniter.Just the Screen?

Any type of Suggestion will be appreciated.

Thank You... :)

ps: I Hope im Posting this on the Correct Place.

Why?

:( Is Hardware of an iMac is Different from a Normal Laptop Hardware, cauze im goin to Try it..
I have already Dis-assembled a (Philips) LCD Monitor, But it does not Match.. :D

?

It is impossible because a working motherboard is needed for the display to work.

 Motherboard of the Laptop is OK, Im trying to change the connection from the laptop screen to iMac Screen.
If there is anyone who have tired this beforem can let me know...

Thank YOu

He meant you need a working motherboard on your iMac, not your laptop. Unless you can disassemble the display circuit, add another input board for your iMac and make a hole for your iMac as if it was regular display, you can't make it work as monitor only.

You need CPU on iMac to work as well if you want to use your iMac display. See?
