i thought this was funny considering how Steve Jobs had told that one guy he was holding the iPhone wrong

And some more BREAKING news

We just landed on the moon

that one guy was me (and a few others). And don't take this the wrong way - you're very late to the party about that...

oh my bad. and late about the holding it wrong thing? i've known about that for quite some time now, but this is the first time i've seen the iPad video which contradicts what Jobs said and i was just pointing it out :p

He wasn't saying "the guy is holding the ipad wrong"

Listen to what Ives is saying. "There's no right or wrong way to hold it."

Yeah. Ones a phone and ones a tablet. Exactly the same.

i didn't say they were exactly the same, i said they were similar in a lot of aspects. they both run similar OS's and have similar external/visible hardware (ignoring size of course) to name a couple.

I wish this to Wasteland. I wish this to Wasteland. I wish this to Wasteland...

Wow, talk about the ultimate fail... They run two different versions of iOS and no, completely different hardware in terms of antenna; the iPhone 4's external antenna wrapped around the outside which is split in the lower left corner (which is why if you bridge that split, it may cause the bars to drop because of the 3G's antenna now being "shorted" so to speak with the WiFi's antenna) compared to the iPad which has the antenna(s) built into the top middle of the iPad internally, not wrapped around externally like the iPhone 4... so now how are they "similar in a lot of aspects" again regarding holding it wrong?

when i said similar OS's i meant the GUI of them, as in when you look at the home screen of an iPad and an iPhone you see a similar thing, and when i was referring to hardware i was referring to having 1 home button, a sleep/wake button, volume controls, and a silent/orientation lock switch.

but yeah, i will agree with you that this thread was a fail... i guess hearing Ives saying "there's no right or wrong way to hold it" just reminded me of Jobs saying "you're holding it wrong". (yeah i know, talking about different products, but still)

sorry if i offended anyone, and i think i speak for the majority when i say that this thread should just be left to die.
