Just got an extreme today, everything was working great until the firmware updated and now I can access it on my MBP but my roommates windows xp machines won't see it. any ideas?

just updated airport firmware and windows won't connect

I just read in another forum that when the new firmware update is installed it changes the automatic channel and that is one possible reason why computer and disk drives are having trouble reconnecting. I sure did when I first installed the 7.2 and I ended up having to revert back to the 7.1.1 in order for my computers and airdisks to work. So what I have just done is make a note of what the channel the extreme was connecting on before I updated. And sure enough it had reset to another channel, thus one of my express wasn't even showing up in the list. I manually changed the channel back to what it was in 7.1.1 and the express showed up again. I am hoping that it remains stable. Guess I won't know till a day or so goes by
