just updated iPhone to iOS 6.0.1, contact list now all screwed up

updated phone to iOS 6.0.1
also FB stopped working properly after that update so I had to delete and re-install it..

now my contact list got all f-ed up. My normal contact list got replaced with a Facebook contact list.

i went into facebook settings to turn contact off, now there's nothing in my contact list.

how can I get my old contact list back?

That was the correct option to get rid of FB but your normal contacts shoyuld have been left alone. You may need to sync with iTunes or iCloud or your email account to get your contacts back. Hopefully you have a backup.
