Just updated to 10.13.1 and I get this error message on boot...

The path /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged."

This had me very worried, but I restarted and held option, and I'm back on my macHD so all good!! Question is why the hell was there the option to boot into the installer, I can't see it anywhere (not on start up disks). How can I delete it since now when I boot up, by default it goes into the installer.
