Yikes! I allowed my iMac to update to Sequoia 15.3.1 from 15.3, and suddenly the system is randomly locking up and requiring a reboot.

I wish, I wish, I wish I had not updated. And in the future, once this is fixed, I will NOT update again; my system was stable enough before and this is disastrous.

Is anyone else experiencing instability since the update?

Stock iMac, no unusual peripherals, just the usual USB devices and hubs, paired to a bluetooth headset, Magic keyboard and trackpad.
Processor is 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7.

(By the way, this is just a gripe, but I had a choice of i7 and M1 back when I bought this. I went with Intel, thinking it would be more "compatible", e.g. could run Windows virtual machine. However, Apple's biometric keyboard only works with the M-series, and Apple Intelligence is also hooked into M-series though I believe their Siri-ChatGPT thing will work with Intel. Anyway I don't care about AI.)d

Stock would be 8GB RAM. Consider upgrading to 16GB or more.
