Just upgraded to Lion and now Mail doesn't work - help!

Just upgraded to Lion. I'm running a 2010 MBA.

When I open up mail from my dock it comes up with an error saying that this version of mail doesn't work with this version of MAC OS X.

Really confused. I go into applications and seem to have two versions of mail there - one simple Mail and the other 'Mail (original).

Any ideas how to restore my mailboxes, folders, etc?
