just upgraded to snow leopard, now sys prefs is crashing

I've done some searches on this and tried the three or four different fixes i've found. I just wiped my mb and upgraded to snow leopard. when i restored with time machine all my prefs were as they were, which was great. but I wanted to change my screen saver which used to be the itunes artwork but when I click on desktop/screen saver it hangs for a second while it's looking for images and then crashes. I've deleted the itunesartwork.plist file and done the other fixes I've seen and nothing is working. any tips? thanks

Are you running 10.6.2 or 10.6?

i'm at work now so I can't know for sure but I'm pretty sure 10.6.2 the first thing i did was check for updates which there was one for snow leopard.
