Hello,

So after thoughtful consideration, I finally bit the bullet and went for it! That is, I made the switch: 24" iMac. 2.16 Ghz, 2 GB ram, 7600 GT. I wasted a lot of time waiting, but I didn't know any better! It's supposed to deliver any time between the 22nd and hte 26th...time to wait!

Last week I saw the 24" iMac for the first time in an Apple Store. The screen is as we all know, massive, anyway I open up Safari and the size of the browser at default was insane!

I thought they is way overkill and this is great. I would of have wanted if I had the cash.
 
Congrats!! I played around with the 24 at the apple store, it was just amazing.

I got my 20'' like one week before the 24 came out. :rolleyes:
 
Thank you everyone! I thought about it sooo much and was comparing it against so many other systems, and the iMac always came out on top! The rev iews it got on the net are surely glowing...I can't wait to get it! I hope the Apple ship time is a mistake...lol.
The 24" is huge, but I figured I might as well get the one I wanted - it's not like the 20" is a steal or anything! I saved some $$ on the edu. discount, which is nice. I didn't get the wireless bt kb/m combo because I plan on getting the Logitech one.

I'm not going to really know where to begin with it. The first thing I do with a windows box is isntall firefox. I'll try out safari first, though. Will adium support the isight webcam in Mac OS X (I have an msn account)?

Get the Mac! The overseas t rip wont last nearly as long! (well, the memories will, but you know what I mean). In the long run, I'd say go with the Mac.
 
the imac is a great value and that 24 incher is a beauty. i can't wait upgrade later on.
 
I hope you got the 500gb upgrade as well. That's what mine will include. You never know when you'll need it.

Also, is there a way to vid conference with msn protocol? :confused:

250 is fine - I probably won't even use half of it!

And it's too badabout adium. I have an MSN account...how can I videoconference?
