Background: the Hong Kong Apple Store needs us to enter our name, email and Government ID number every day in order for them to select very few lucky ones to be able to purchase an unlocked iPhone without contract on the next day.

After a month of trial with all my family's IDs, I finally received their email to ask me to come to the Store today to buy 2 iPhones!

What gives: instant profit. The iPhone 5 16GB's official price is around USD716 in Hong Kong. And in grey market (not so grey, it's actually a small shopping mall) we can easily sell it @ USD1090...

P.s. I'm already a happy customer of the iPhone 5 (with contract). I enjoy it so much and it's clearly the best phone I've ever had.

Cheers :D

And that is exactly why they restrict the unlocked iPhone sales so much......
