Forget screen size, you are going to be amazed at everything!!!

I have a 12" iBook and the screen on the Air seemed a lot bigger. I haven't compared the dimensions, but the 11" is 16:9 instead of 16:10, and the 12" was 4:3. So physically it is wider, and the resolution is nice on it. I felt it very usable - I messed with word and XL since that is what I'd need it for in school.

Having owned 2 12" laptops of the 4:3 variety, for a small laptop the 11" seems perfect and the 13" seemed HUGE (and that is coming form someone that owns a 17" MBP!). of course, I also don't find the iPad small to look at or type on.

I think you will love it - Congrats on the upgrade!!!!!!
