Hey dudes
Just bought an iphone on rogers. Gonna arrive next week. Anyways, im curious - what baseband is shipping currently? I want to be able to unlock my phone.. but I'm probably going to have to new of a baseband to run yellowsnow. When did the version compatible with yellowsnow stop shipping? Maybe the rogers wearhouse will still have the older ones.. hmm.

Any thoughts?

hopefully you get a phone with 2.0, I think the chances are higher for you since you live in Canada where the phones aren't being sold as fast as in the U.S. keep your fingers crossed:)

This is why Apple will use dual 16gb chips rather than a 32gb, this is what they did w/ the original iPhone when they introduced a 16gb model, used dual 8gb chips until 16gb was available

No, they didn't. They did that in the iPod touch, but it can't be done in the iPhone because the room reserved for another NAND chip is being used for the telephony hardware.

I dont want a 32gb iphone anyway lol. I am going to downsize the music I don't listen too, and keep all the rest on my 32gb touch. So I don't care if new iphones comes out next week lol.

Well, that was a big mistake, considering that, since no 32GB NAND chips have been ordered by Apple, there will be nothing done to the iPhone at MacWorld.

What D:

How exactly do we find out what is being ordered by Apple and what isn't?
