JVC camcorder GZ-HD7 cannot import files in iMovie

Can someone please help me: we bought the camcorder today and installed the special needed things for Quick Time Player, in order to let iMovie to be able to read the .tod files. However, we connect the camcorder to the computer we start up iMovie, make a new project, we can read that the camera is connected,
that it is playing the movie, but we CANNOT import in imovie!!

Found It

1. connect the gz-hd7u with the usb.
2. goto this website ---> http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19769/isquint
3. download isquint
4. drag file into open space
5. press start watch status bar for file to reformat
6. DRAG INTO IMOVIE

Does anyone seem to have a problem with importing after they download the software updates for iMovie HD 6?
