Hi All,

Im looking for my first camcorder for my Colorado / Utah trip this winter, and i want to make a home movie using iMovie or FCE after I get back. So far I have found these two models in my price range.

I just want to hear some experts' advice (Pros and Cons between these two) before I pull the trigger.

Thanks

I would get one that uses a flash card, not a hard drive. Canon makes a pretty nice SD camera in your price range that takes flash cards and it works great.

Or, for a little more then the price of those cameras, you can get an HD one that is WAY better quality. You can get a HF100 for about $575 now on amazon.

Thanks for the info. I just did some research on HF100, and the specs looked really good. I think I will just buy a HF100.

Just a heads up for those who are interested, you can get a brand new HF100 on eBay for less than $400 after live.com rebate.
