Kadi Port - Adapter for MacBook 12

Am tempted to get one of these USB C Adapters for MacBook, and it's got the right ports for my usage. Anybody got one or used one:- https://kadicreative.com/products/the-kadi-port

I backed them on Kickstarter. Used it with a old 1080p monitor (in HDMI) and a external hard drive I had and it works really good

It's cheaper than Apple's and has an additional USB-C port

I'm not very sure about the part you plug in the Macbook, with the angle and everything, it scares me a little to "break" the port on the long run (with Apple adapter, you have the cable between the Macbook and the adapter to prevent this).


Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase

So does it lift the MacBook up on that end? Any chance you could take a picture to illustrate the problem?

so did apple disable third party pass through charging with the update?

This would be almost perfect in terms of the form factor and functionality, however the fact that charging does not work anymore is offputting.

Just tested mine and charging still works.. on 10.12.4

philstone, what year is your MacBook? 2015/16? Still on 10.12.4? Charging function still working? I am on Yosemite, due to work. Want to upgrade to macOS and stil have my kadi port fully functional...
