On my 2011 iMac with TB1, I have connected the Kanex eSata/USB3 TB adapter, and connected to the USB3 port is a powered Hootoo 8 port USB 3 hub. Often when using various ports on the hub, my iMac will simply just reboot itself.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what devices cause the reboot, though it might be more USB2 devices than USB3. Regardless, the hub is backwards compatible, and a hard reboot isn't normal behavior. The crash/panic report lists USB extensions, but I couldn't tell you what it's specifically saying.
Anyone using this adapter and/or hub with any stability issues? Thanks.
