Hello,

I don't even know where to post this – mods, please feel welcome to move it to the right section, whatever it is.

I've got a rMBP 2015 where I swapped right-Option and right-Command. (Not left though.) I also have an external Microsoft Sculpt keyboard where this behaviour is not desired. I created two profiles but I have to change them manually.

I found a script (which I don't understand, but nvm) which differentiates between USB device being connected or not. But the MS keyboard comes with a tiny USB receiver, which is constantly plugged to the Macbook. Karabiner has an option "do not remap external keyboards", but that disables right Ctrl and right Application keys on the Sculpt entirely, they do nothing.

Googling hasn't led me anywhere, but basically I am looking for the following:
– either changing profiles depending on which keyboard I am typing on, or
– changing profiles depending on whether HDMI cable is connected, or
– do not disable right Ctrl (remap to Control, same as left via System Preferences) on Sculpt.

Help? :) Thanks in advance!
