Seems Apple PR is handing them out to the rich and famous for some publicity.

Very smart of them! Wearables have gone mainstream today. You'll be seeing these watches everywhere in a few months.

Isn't that odd, the way 'it' works? The more money you have the more things you seem to get for free (specifically referring to celebrities).

Millions of dollars worth of free publicity by giving a watch that costs under $2,000 to make to a celebrity.

why such an awful watch face? I really hope that mickey mouse one isnt loaded standard and can be deleted.

It looks good on her. I can't say I'm envious though. I've come to prefer even the Sport to any of the Editions. I've really gotten away from wearing gold watches during the last few years that I was wearing watches.

I'm not talking about from Apple's end or even from a consumer's end. I'm just saying life, in general.

That's the way it works but no, I don't find it odd. The more popular you are, the more brands and people want to associate with you = $.

I don't know about that. This is more of a luxury device than many of Apple's recent products. The iPad, for example, can be used as a very intuitive and practical supplement to work and education. Sure, you can get the same work done on a desktop, but it has more (subjectively) productive usage. The Apple Watch is definitely just a luxury extension of the devices you already own, in my opinion, and thus I assume a fair amount of people won't find a way to 'make' themselves be able to afford it.

I'm not sure I'm competently verbalizing what I mean, but it's just my opinion.

I got the sport too so I can save up for the iPhone 7 in September.

Why? Just ignore it. Is it really going to bother you to scroll past it? You won't be able delete it just like you can't delete the stocks app on your iPhone.

You are very right in what you are saying, but it doesn't matter. Even if kids can't get the exact watch Katy or Drake or any other celeb is wearing, they will get whatever version they can get their hands on.

Its like your favorite author of all time recommending a book for you to read, or your favorite actor telling you about the best movie to ever be created even if they aren't in it lol. That's just how people are with celebrities.
