What do you want it for? Playboating, surfing, gentle flat river cruising, creeking?
I had a Perception Arc as my first kayak, it's a bit of an all-rounder and it was good for learning in. I'm not sure if they still make them but they're a good style of kayak.
After that I had an Eskimo Nano and loved it. It was a bit more playboatey and weighed nothing.
If you have one you can get to, go to your nearest shop to ask their advice. They might even be able to let you try some out to find one that fits you well.
