Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the KCA-IP500 will work for the Iphone and be fully compatible through my head unit? I have heard mixed answers, and wanted a definitive answer before I purchased it for my Kenwood Stereo.

Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!

I have a KCA-IP500 hooked up to my headunit. I can control the iPhone and play songs from it thru the headunit, but it won't charge it. I'm really pissed that Apple discontinued firewire support.

Ah! That is something I was looking forward to was it charging while I was driving, How was the interface?

The interface is horrible on my Kenwood DDX6019, but it does the job. The newer headunits have much better iPod interfaces.

I'd recommend picking up a large capacity, older model iPod, as you can just put your songs on it, and lock it in your glovebox. Thats what I do, and its cool because you never have to take it out because the KCP-i500 will keep it charged.
