Just bought my first MacBook Pro... and now my first MacRumors post! I'm a long-time Linux user (KDE Ubuntu) and was really enjoying the KDE4 folderview widget for the plasma desktop included with Kubuntu 9.10. OS X is growing on me and I think I want to stick with it for a while... but would really like to have something like the KDE folderview widget on OS X. I'm not looking for a "widget" per se (as in pressing F4 to get to the desktop widgets). I'm looking for something that would reside on the desktop and provide neat organization to all of the icons/folders/files just like in KDE4. I've searched around but can't find anything. Any leads??

Thanks in advance,

JJW

I have never used KDE 4.x with the folder view (only seen videos) the closes thing I can think of is to just drag a folder into your dock and have the grid view enabled.

But I don't think this is what you are looking for?
