Quick question..

Do we keep 3G on all the time? Rather, if I am home and on wifi do I turn off 3G and iPad will just use the faster wifi instead of the 3G?

I know it's not a big deal, just curious.

If it detects a known wifi source, your iPad will connect to said source. Wifi trumps 3G.

Since 4.3.1 this doesn't always seem to be the case. We have a hotspot where I work, and it requires accepting TOS. since 4.3.1 iPad will usually try yo connect to wifi, but sometimes will not get ip... So I then have to turn off 3G to get it to play nice...

I turn Cellular Data off unless I need to use it. Don't see the point in wasting my allotment when I don't need it on.

I keep mine on all the time. When I first got it I use to turn it on when I left the house and then off when I get home. That was a hastle. So I just leave it on. Listen, you bought the 3G model for a reason, just leave it on! Right? :D:apple:

Mine auto detects and the WiFi will go on over the 3G however, I turn my 3G off at home because I find it saves battery.. It's a matter of preference..

I leave 3G on all the time, but turn WiFi off when I leave the house because it keeps popping up whenever it sees a hotspot and most of the time they are locked. When I go to Borders or Barnes and Noble or the Library I turn it back on.

At home my iPad or iPhone will always go to WiFi over 3G so there isn't a problem.
