Keep dock visible but in background?

Hi

Is there no way to keep the dock visible but it staying in background so that you can move app windows above the dock or if you maximize the app window it maximizes over the dock instead of stopping right at the edge of the dock and thus leaving too much wasted space there?

So far I have the dock hidden and appearing when I move my mouse cursor to the edge of the screen but I'd prefer if the dock was always visible just not interfering with windows of apps/ finder, etc.

Possible?

I would be interested in knowing of it too.
I kind of shift between the 2 settings that are available.

I suspect if there is a solution for you it must be some tweak.

Thanks. All those options explained on that site I either use already or not what I look for.

And I haven't seen any tweak/ app that can do that. If somebody knows please share. Thx
