When I run disk warrior, I get these 2 same preferences that show up in my home prefs that DW will give me one of their 'corrupt and can't be repaired' messages in the report when I do a 'check files' routine on the hd.

Being it says in the explanations that 'such and such might cause system instability' that sounds like I should be concerned.

But since those prefs names don't really tell me which applications they belong to, I just go ahead and trash them. Now that I'm aware they always wind up re-appearing, sometime I look for them after a while.
Sometimes they're not there and then at some point I run DW and it again points out those files as corrupted. So I really have no ideas which application or process or whatever I'm using that make those prefs.

SO what I'd like to know...does it really matter if DW says they're corrupt and how do I find out which thing is making those prefs in the first place?

Thanks

do I always have to wind up going to mac warez sites to get answers? <lol>
