I can't seem to find any info on this problem, and it's driving me up the walls!

I have DSL, that runs through the DSL modem to a linksys wireless router. The network is easily found, and connected to by both my and my girlfriends macbook pros. But, about every ten minutes, the speed drops to nearly nothing, and the only way to fix it is to click the wireless icon, then list networks, then click on the network I'm already connected to- then the bandwidth jumps back up to normal. Both macbooks do this, rendering hulu/netflix basically unusable. I have no troubles with my xbox360 however.

I've tried tweaking every setting on both the modem and wireless router! Should I just ditch my network gear and buy something else?

Cheers!
