Okay umm, I recently moved in with my friend. She's got an airport router but she doesn't want to use it because it slows her torrents down or something.
At the moment, the LAN cable is connected to her iMac, which then shares the internet connection with me through a Wifi peer to peer network. This is all fine, but it's just a little troublesome because whenever she turns her computer off, all the settings get reseted and I have to set everything up again.
First of all, I'd have to turn on the Wifi again because it doesn't automatically turn on by itself for some reason. Internet sharing will automatically turn itself on, but the problem is that it defaults to an unsecured network.
Therefore I have to re-create a new adhoc network and set up the password again.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get her iMac to remember all these settings so I won't have to keep setting it up again each time it restarts?
Thanks.
