Ok, I agree this may be the wrong subform to start but after searching I have to start somewhere and my new Mac mini is the reason, hence here.
I have a MB Pro M1 and have been using that the past 1,5 years mainly as a desktop computer. because I am finally traveling again and because my wife used to use the MB Pro while I was at work, I bought the new Mac mini M2 Pro. Wonderful machine.
I set up the new MM from scratch and tried to replicate all the settings I had on my MB Pro. Now I find myself In a position that one machine has something installed, enabled or registered to that the other one doesn't have. I don't want to spend my time keeping both machines fully in line together so I want wondering if there is a way to keep them synced.
I already use iCloud for documents and desktop and I already use OneDrive for many work folders so those are available on both. But settings, sometimes as simple as desktop background, aren't in sync.
Is there something easy to do this? I think I remember from the past when my MM 2011 Server was running OS X server, I could use a server profile that synced with the server stored settings.
If this is the wrong subform then please (moderator) more it to the correct one.
Apologies if I asked a dumb question. It has been too long that I owned and used two Macs at the same time.
Thanks in advance,
Michel
