For my birthday, I got a massive 32-inch HP Pavilion monitor. So far, I LOVE it. With that big of a screen at 2560x1440, text is a bit fuzzy but really nothing to whine about. I just have one question. How do I make it so that, when I close the laptop, the display will not go dark? I would appreciate any tips or help. I would also like it if I didn't have to plug in the laptop while its closed and connected to the monitor, I value the battery and will spend most of my time using this display. Thanks

I think You need to have a mouse, keyboard, and power plugged in to operate in clamshell mode.
[doublepost=1548977940][/doublepost]Here is the Apple link for clamshell mode.

Yeah... I know it needs power.. I have a thunderbolt dock.. all I do every morning when I make it to work is take it out my backpack and plug it in.. i don’t have to do anything else. My two desktop Screens auto come on.

I did everything the list said on the clamshell mode link, and made sure my bluetooth devices can wake the laptop. Plugged it in, closed the lid. Didn't work, the monitor went to sleep. Thoughts?

UPDATE: the power was not plugged into the wall all the way, all is working fine, thanks

One of the reasons I like MagSage, the little light indicating that there's power to the laptop.
