Okay, so I had a dual 1.25ghz G4 and 20" cinema display...
I sold my tower and with the $$ I'm getting a G5, but
my dilemma is this:

Should I sell my display also and get the new 20" display to
match the G5 or should i just keep the old...

The catch is if I decide not to purchase the new display now,
but decide to buy one on its own later, i won't be able to cover
it with applecare---i can only get applecare on the display if
its purchased aith the tower

what would you do?

If I had the extra couple hundered I would sell my old one and pick up the new. Simply the casing itself makes it worth it in my opinion. not to mention all the other additions.

What have they done to that poor computer?
What's that blue light in there? Does it have boomin bass in the trunk, too....
:p
I actually like the look of the old displays better. The new ones just look like another Sony or whatever to me. But I bought one anyway. Why? Who knows. It's "new". I didn't have one before though. My thinking is someday if I want to use it as a TV screen it would mount on the wall more easily?
Someday (2-4 weeks? :( ) it will arrive.

I have the new one, and let me tell you, it ROCKS. However, the old one is quite a nice display as well. In your case, I would sell and buy the new one, but only because you are getting the applecare. It's a very good idea to have your expensive display covered. If you weren't getting applecare, I would say don't bother, because the old ones are still very very good looking.
