^ subject explains it all. Video is kind of important to me for convenience purposes. I work for a certain tech blog and we do do video and photos on the fly so having it would be great! I have the kit lens that came with the xs and a speedlite 270flash and a 55-200mm zoom lens for the xs, so my investments are pretty bare. Thanks all advice would be great! oh and im planning to get a prime right after i decide what im doing!

The PMA show is on in mid Feb and new Canons and Nikons are expected (and it's probably a safe assumption that video will be on all new bodies). Now would be a bad time to change.
They decided to only do one big show - and chose CES over PMA (the stands cost $millions to run, so I guess they're saving money).
They don't have to be there to release cameras. All their competitors will be refreshing their ranges, so I would expect Canon to.
