As of late, it seems like a lot of tech blog sites are using Vimeo over YouTube. I don't particularly follow the news on these sites, so I'm curious if there's some reason behind what I'm seeing?

Less clutter, visually more appealing, low amount of stupid comments and just not as angst ridden as YT.
With popularity comes stupid people, bullies and spammers. While something is a niche for techy interest groups or people in the know, the hordes of stupid are kept at bay on Facebook or Youtube. This will change for vimeo, esp as it gets tighter integration with OSX.
