I have an SS Graphite S6, and the AC+ Is ending. I can get the battery replaced for $80 before it ends on the 20th. I mean the AW still feels as fast as the day I got it still without issues. But like everyone else I got the upgrade itch.

I don't like the option of being behind a year, but if I can score a good deal on an SS or TI S7, would that be a bad choice to satisfy my upgrades needs? Or would I be better off replacing the battery while I still can or maybe just going with the Ultra?

I think you can upgrade the battery anytime for $80, AppleCare only applies if it falls below %80 within the coverage, then they will replace free

really? replace for free? So If I just pay monthly for another few months then I can get it replaced for free??

Please double check but I am pretty sure is the case under AC+
What is your battery health percentage currently? Under watchos9 my battery health jumped from 84% to 89%

82%. I'm on WOS9 too. Which they claim my battery is in good condition still. I'd rather get it replaced while I can. So if another $8 for the next two months get it replaced. Then I'll do it.

Cool, please double check I am correct in my assumption though. I am just going by what I have read on here.
I will when I get up later today, I'll reply back with what I found. Thanks again buddy for being helpful!

Since the performance of the S7, S8 and Ultra watches will all be the same as your existing Series 6, are you excited enough about any of the new features to make the jump? I have a stainless steel Series 6 with stainless steel link bracelet and while I’d certainly like some of the new features, the only one that would make a daily difference is the slight larger screen introduced in the Series 7. Otherwise, I doubt I’d notice a difference.

Unless something major happens with Watch 9, I think I’ll hold out until the Series 10. Considering the major changes they introduced with the iPhone 10, I’m expecting they’ll introduce a few exciting new features (e.g., new processor on new manufacturing node, new form factor, possibly health features like blood pressure or glucose, smart bands, etc)

And if you decide to keep your Series 6 and want to keep AppleCare+, I’ve heard folks have been able to convert their expiring 2 year plan to month-to-month.

The choice, in the end, is yours to make. Much depends on how much disposable income you have available.

I bought a refurb S7 and kept it two days before going back to my S6. It just felt like the same watch. Now the ultra is an entirely different beast. You’ll get a lot more functionality but also a whole different look and feel. Personally, it’s way too big for me, but you’ll certainly get something new to play with.

True. think I'll just replace the battery in this and use for another year tbh.

That’s a tough call. If you can get a good price on the sale of yours….and…get a good price on a SS Or TI S7 that’s one thing. But, if you have to practically give away your perfectly good S6 SS, that’s another thing. I had an S6 Product Red….loved it…but the red was limiting in band choices. I was able to sell it for $210 (last month) and picked up a SS 45mm S7 for $529 and very happy with the upgrade.
