Is there a way to keep the iPhone uploading large videos to Facebook, Youtube, etc., after the iPhone goes to sleep?

I'm uploading pride videos, and its taking forever because every time the screen goes dark, uploading stops. So I have to awaken the iPhone every two seconds.

Opposite question, is there a way to stop videos from uploading? While having problems with iPhone not sending in rest state, I resent large videos multiple times thinking it was cancelled. Now it's taking up all my bandwidth resending and the same video is being uploaded to Facebook multiple times.

I can't seem to find an upload queue, like a printer spool, to stop this...and that gear keeps turning whenever I open photos.
