Does anybody know how I can keep VMWare from reenabling hibernation every time I switch between native and virtual.

I can disable the feature in virtual bootcamp or in native and as long as I only boot the same it stays that way. When I boot into native after using it in vmware on the osx host, vmware tools always reenables hibernation regardless of settings.

Does anybody know how to fix that? As usual my bootcamp partition isn't very big and the 8GB hiberfil.sys is a big problem.

Late but I did find a solution to my own problem.

To resolve this issue, manually change the hibernation setting.

To manually change the hibernation setting:
Boot to Windows Boot Camp natively.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\plugins\vmsvc.
Delete or rename disableGuestHibernate.dll.

Open a command prompt with Administrator privileges. For more information, see Opening a command or shell prompt (1003892).
Run the command:

powercfg.exe /hibernate off

Restart Windows.
