So I’m actually fine with the old black Siri Remote with the big touchpad. However, a couple of members of family hate hat touchpad so much, there using a $12 universal GE remote for their Apple TV’s. Was about to switch to Roku for them, and had been meaning to when the new Siri Remote came out last year that fixed the touchpad for a lot of people. But it didn’t have Find My. So I figured I’d wait a year or two and Apple would add Find My to the remote.

but now Apple has done a minor update to this new Siri remote this month. And they didn’t include Find My…

what makes this a stranger decision is we have 5 Apple TV’s. And one of the people is Older and you have to show her how to use every new technology to her a couple of times before she’s comfortable with it.

Anybody have any idea if Apple is ever going to add Find My to the Siri Remote? Rokus had had their version of this for at least five years now.

Just not sure what decision to make. Which way to go.

I feel like Apple TV is the right decision long term. Especially for the older person. Cause I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Roku is like TiVo and just goes away in a couple of years. But Apple not including Find My on their remotes is making it painful in the short term.

And the .Siri Remotes are like $60. You could buy a whole Roku with their version of Find My for that cost.
